Dear valued patients,
With mixed emotions I am writing to inform you that I will be leaving Downtown Vision as of September 5th, 2025. I have made the decision to relocate back to Bermuda to be closer to family. This decision did not come easy after practicing optometry for over a decade in the GTA, and over 7 years at Richmond University Vision Care/Downtown Vision. It has been an absolute pleasure and honour to have provided eye care to you. I’ve gotten to know many of you personally and I will cherish the connections made.
Your vision and ocular health remain a top priority. Please rest assured that the doctors and staff at Downtown Vision will continue to provide you with support and excellent care. Going forward, Dr. Elinor Goldhar and Dr. Ivana Latalisa will provide you with continuation of care. Dr. Yuen will also be available for any eyecare needs.

In Memory
DR. CAROLYN JARRETT
In Memory (1957-2020)
For almost 40 years, Dr. Carolyn Jarrett had been the trusted and beloved eye doctor to many of our patients. She was a leader and pioneer in the profession as the first Black female optometrist to graduate in Canada. It is with great sadness that we inform of Dr. Jarrett passing away after a long illness.
Her passion and life was dedicated to the wellbeing of her patients, as she had treated them as if they were old friends and family. Her compassion and her well known sense of humour, will be missed.
Dr. Jarrett’s existing associates will continue to take care of the patients in the practice with the same compassion and excellence in care.
