What is Endoret PRGF®?
Endoret PRGF® (Plasma Rich in Growth Factors) is a regenerative therapy made from a patient’s own blood. It is processed into preservative-free eye drops rich in natural growth factors that support healing of the ocular surface.
Who is a good candidate for PRGF eye drops?
PRGF may be recommended for patients with moderate to severe dry eye, chronic ocular surface disease, inflammation, or those who have not found sufficient relief with artificial tears or other standard treatments.
How does PRGF help dry eye?
PRGF works by reducing inflammation and promoting tissue repair and regeneration. Rather than simply lubricating the eyes, it helps restore the health of the ocular surface and improve tear film stability.
Is Endoret PRGF® safe?
Yes. Because PRGF is derived from your own blood and contains no inflammatory cells or preservatives, it is highly biocompatible and well tolerated, with a low risk of adverse reactions.
How long does treatment last?
Treatment duration varies depending on the severity of dry eye and individual response. Each blood draw can roughly produce a tray of 32 dispensers for about a 3 month supply. For most patients, we recommend using it up to 4x/day for best results.
What can patients expect?
Many patients experience improvements in comfort, redness, irritation, and visual quality over time, particularly when PRGF is used as part of a comprehensive dry eye treatment plan.
